29 March 2022, Budapest – Opportunities regarding green building economy developments were explored at the research conference of Greenology Knowledge Centre, where among others Csaba Balázs Rigó, President of the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) gave a lecture.

Greenology's Green Innovation Sustainability Knowledge Centre has summarised the results of its first research project in four volumes. These have just been presented. The findings of the "Green Building Economics Innovation Lab" project were presented at a book launch, open to the press and accompanied by a conference. The event featured presentations by Anita Boros, head of the Knowledge Centre and project manager, László Kovács, President of the Public Procurement Authority, László Koji, President of ÉVOSZ, Csaba Balázs Rigó, President of the GVH and Sándor Puskás, President of the Public Procurement Arbitration Committee.

According to the results of a scientific project on energy-efficient, green construction and the sustainability of the construction industry (recycling of construction, demolition and manufacturing waste) show that green innovation in the construction industry has a wide range of positive effects. Among other things, resource requirements and the environmental effects of transport are being reduced, production technologies are becoming more efficient and environmental friendly, the comfort and energy performance of buildings is improving, also, the developments can help maintain and improve the health of people living and working in the building.

„Western Europe is suffering from high energy prices and energy efficiency is being valued in an unprecedented way. Innovative solutions can contribute to the sustainability of our future, and also to the cost-effective residential and public construction investments. Green building research and development can therefore bring significant long-term social benefits” – said Csaba Balázs Rigó, president of the GVH.
